The NHCBA held its annual meeting and fall social at the Country Club of Landfall, 800 Sun Runner Pl, Wilmington, NC 28405, on Thursday, October 9, 2025. At the meeting, a quorum was present and the members in attendance voted unanimously to elect the following Officers and Directors:
Jessica Humphries – President
Nate Cook – Vice President & Secretary
Chris Edwards – Treasurer
Chamberlain Collier – Returning Board Member
Avery Locklear – New Board Member
Maya Pillai – New Board Member
Corrie Lee – New Board Member
Emily Humes – New Board Member
Brody O’Neal – New Board Member
The Treasurer’s Report noted a strong financial position for the NHCBA, with a bank account balance of approximately $65,000.00 going into October, 2025. However, due to declining membership, expenses are starting to exceed revenue. Upon recommendation of the Board, a motion to increase NHCBA annual dues from $125.00 to $150.00 for the upcoming 2026-2027 fiscal year was made, properly seconded, and unanimously passed.
The NHCBA’s next event will be its Holiday Party, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Cape Fear Country Club.
The Board thanked outgoing Board members Kari Schultz, Samantha Stokes, Emily Jones Queen, Paige Inman, and Lauren Williams for their many years of dedicated service to NHCBA!
